When you buy a ring in Guldsmykket.com's Webshop, you need to select the right size for the ring you want.

If you do not know your ring size in advance, you can simply use one of the following methods to locate it. If you use more than one method, you can compare the results, thus minimizing possible. error:

If you want to measure an old ring

Method 1: Inner diameter in mm
Take a caliper or alternatively a ruler and measuring the internal diameter in millimeters of the ring. You can then use the chart below, where we set the different ring sizes from diameter mm size.

Method 2: Inner circumference in mm
Take a tape measure and measure the internal circumference of the ring. This circumference in millimeters corresponds to the ring size. If the inside circumference example is 58 mm, this corresponds to the size of 58. If you do not have a tape measure, you can alternatively use a small strip of paper that you put into the ring. Then select the circumference of the ring on paper and measure this with a ruler.

If you will measure your finger

Method 3: exterior circumference of the finger in mm
Take a piece of string and place it 2 times around your finger where you want to carry the ring (it is important that you do not tighten the string too hard, but it must also not be too loose). Draw a line straight across both strings.  The distance between the two points in millimeters, is your ring size. If the distance is 4,8 cm  long, this corresponds to 48 mm and you need a size 48.

Method 4: Get your finger measured by a professional
Go to your local jeweler and get your size accurately measured. Remember to tell the clerk if you are considering buying a wide ring, so she can advise you accordingly.

What should you be aware of when measuring your finger?

Closure
It is not just pregnancy, which may cause swollen fingers. Many times you do not discover that your fingers are swollen, and even a little swelling may influence the measurement of ring size. You should pay particular attention to whether you have cold / hot fingers. Example, if you measure your ring size when you have cold hands, you risk that it will tighten when your fingers are warm. It is best to measure the ring size when your fingers have a fairly normal temperature.

Ring profile
The ring you measure should have roughly the same width as the one you want to buy. The reason is that a wide ring takes up more space on your finger and therefore often need to be chosen in a larger size to fit comfortably.

Please note that we do not take any responsibility on the ring size is truly abandoned. Ie costs for the return, change and transmission of call substitution is at your own expense. Return costs is on your own expenses - and depends on the ring type of ring a re-sizing can cost up to 150, - Dkr / 30 USD / 20 Euro

Sincerely,
